We never know when a new event is a random one time deal or the beginning of a fad/phase. Just such a new event greeted me on 01/01/2010 at 07:07 AM with the sensation of sisal against my skin. Hold it now, don’t jump to conclusions just yet.
Enjoyed New Years Eve with friends, it was a good party. I know how to have a good time and feel great the next day, a little xxx and xxxxx. Before hitting the sack we spent a little time playing with the cats. One of the play objects was a small piece of sisal twine. My tomcat Bard was enamored with that thing. When he would “catch” it, he would promenade around with it like it was a victory trophy. He had completely taken over ownership of that silly little piece of string.
Well this morning I woke up to a small surprise. As I began wakening, I remember attempting to identify what I felt in my hand. Slowly but surely I realized that that piece of sisal twine was laying across the palm of my outstretched hand. It seems that my tomcat Bard wasn’t done playing and had dragged it onto my hand sometime in the early morning.
In the past, the only thing my cats had done while sleeping is to take advantage of me as a super-sized heating pad.
